Spring Butterfly Scrapbook Layout

I just had so much fun making this layout. It combines a few of my favorite things – bright SPRING colors, flowers, butterflies, and of course my daughter Lauren.  I’ve had the new Cricut Expression2 machine (which i love love love)  for a few weeks now and i finally got time to use it! (E2 available at Craft-e-Corner)
I started with a piece of 12×12 thinner chipboard and added the solid pink background. Then I layered the different green polka dot and flowered squares as a backdrop for my black and white pictures. I made the squared off center to add a bit of shape and detention to the project.
I used my PINK ATG tape glider gun to adhere the paper and pictures- works like a charm!

For some 3D effects i used the stock images from my E2 (banner and butterfly). For the banner I printed out 3 different banners , just slightly different in size, and layered them and then fluffed them up for some detention. For the butterflies, I bent them slightly in half and glues ONLY the center down and then rolled the wings upward for a flying effect. I used glitter for the centers to add some bedazzle!

For a little more effect I also layered a pink and purple swirl stamp to the corners and some jem swirls for BLING!

Because I love this so much and it’s 3D quality i was thinking of hanging it in Laurens room- and then storing it in a book later 🙂

WHAT DO YOU THINK!? I’d love to hear your comments 🙂
