Silhouette Chalkboard Vinyl Party Cups

TGI- FRIDAY!!! Wa-HOO!

So i deemed today FUN Friday and was thinking of some fun products we have that are over looked and could make some GREAT projects One of my favorite products? CHALKBOARD VINYL!

First off- we just LOVE the cameo! Silhouette has outdone themselves with this wonderful machine. It cuts paper, fabric, and VINYL like butter! You can use this vinyl on any die cutting machine however, I personally love my Cricut Expression 2.

I was looking for some inspirational ideas with the chalkboard and found this awesome idea from Pinterest- check out our DIY Party idea pinboard where i re-pinned the idea :)

ENJOY!
Supplies
cups
straws
chalk markers
Did you know the Silhouette software is free to download? Even without the cutter you can use it as a design program to print with whatever printer you have. If you know someone who has one you can prepare your files at home and take them with you to do the cutting.

TIP - The chalkboard vinyl might be a bit more curled than most vinyls so flattening it as much as possible before hand and using some masking tape to help secure it to the mat is helpful :)

I used that cool "replicate" function to pack all of my labels together to maximize the number of labels on a sheet, and then realized that by leaving more space in-between...

I could save myself a WHOLE lot of weeding. This way I can pick up the labels with a much less nit-picky effort. The craft Hook is AWESOME at helping pick out small areas of paper or vinyl with ease.

Ta da! Loving it already. I was thinking of having people finish the sentence with chalkboard markers and chalk:  "Mary and Matt... are the COOLEST!" Hope you enjoyed the tutorial and idea! here is the finished product :)
