This past weekend Craft-e-Corner hosted the Cropped Mystery Box Challenge Event! Britten Linn from Two At A Time Designs and I were the final two competitors out of four! YAY!
(A big Thanks and GREAT JOB to our other competitors, Carrie Duehring and Shawn Mosch!)
The first of the three challenges was a card challenge. We has 25 minutes to create a card using the Craft Cardstock, Snazzy Tape, a soda pop top, Silicone Sheets, and adhesive all provided to us in a mystery bag.
Here are our results!
Here is the card I made. I made a standard A2 size card with the cardstock and embossed it with the Cuttlebug using a Cuttlebug Polka Dot Embossing Folder. I then took my Snazzy Tape and folded it into petals to create a tape flower! I added some of the Silicone Sheet for a bright yellow pop and then added a black and white brad for some contrast.
Here’s a closer look at the flower! Even thought we didn’t get to choose the colors given to us, I LOVED the red and yellow combination in the Snazzy Tape!
I used the pop top for my flower ‘leaf’ and then added a bit of sparkle with some glitter paper!
Here is Brittin’s winning card! She created a clean and crisp card with fun pops of pinks and greens! She used the silicone sheets and pop top to create a heart embellishment.
Using the Cricut Expression 2 die cutting machine she cut out the work “hi” out of the snazzy tape and added a few green brads for texture! The bright vibrant colors and repetitive circles in the card make the whole thing really work well! Great job Britten!
What do YOU think of the winning cards?
