  6. My Mom is the most awesome Mom. When we were growing up, she put her entire life on hold to be a full time Mommy...she never missed a school party, play, or holiday (also brought classroom refreshments). She was there every day when we got home from school; every night when we went to bed and every morning when we got up. I'd love this cartridge to make her something extra special for Mother's Day!

  11. My Mom is no longer with us. She died before all the great tools came out. She would have loved them. She was very creative. Made lots of Barbie and Ken doll clothes. She made Ken a tux with the cumber bun and made them a tea set from buttons, with cups that had handles.

  14. My mom is amazing just for putting up with me. ;)
Besides that though she is very caring and giving to any and all she can. She is a nurse and worked in a hospital for many years and then saw a huge need here for home care so started her own business doing that. she sold the business and took a job with an insurance company where she helps by phone and email those that were medicallly released from our military get the help and money they need as well as adjust to civilian life (often helping those with PTSD and such to function). recently she took a second job working in an emergency room because she missed the hands on contact helping people but loves being able to help those in her other job too so keeps both despite being able to retire now.

It wasn't until my mom was gone before I realized how much I missed out on growing up! She and I had our differences, but in the end, she knew she could always count on me to do the right thing on her behalf. She had a troublesome childhood and I didn't understand until it was too late. Love takes it's time to grow, but never fades. I love to continue honoring her memory through card making with other mothers and daughters, as I do with my own, for those special moms on Mother's Day! I love and miss you Mom!!!

  30. My mom died in 1996 at the age of 59. As I approach that age now I realize how much she taught me about aging gracefully. The last ten years of her life she was a widow and yet she took up ballroom dancing. Something completely out of her comfort zone, but it kept her moving and saying active! She taught me so much in those last ten years!

  82. My Mom is and has always been awesome. Many years ago when my brother was born with Down Syndrome as soon as he was born the doctors said he should be institutionalized. Mom refused and he lived a full life with our family (this was way before there were the resources for families that there are now -- as a matter of fact, I think my Mom helped start the ARC in our area). Then when my youngest brother died of SIDS, our family took in foster children and my parents had well over 100 foster kids over the years -- many of them were troubled teens and they would actually be able to open up and talk to her when they wouldn't talk to anyone else. She is in her 70s now and still helping people -- she works on an on-call basis but sometimes that is over 40 hours a week helping mentally and physically handicapped people living in group home settings -- taking them to doctors, dentists, my parents' cabin for a few days every summer. Do you get the picture of how awesome my Mom is? And this is just scratching the surface! I LOVE her so much! Thanks for the chance to win, but especially for the chance to brag on my Mom.

  88. My Mom and I haven't always been agreeable, but we have always been extremely close. We have butted heads from time to time because she raised me to be a strong women, with opinions, who can stand up for myself and those I love . . .JUST LIKE HER! She raised 6 children - 5 boys and ME - on pennies, but taught all we needed to know to live lives rich with love and accomplishments. She's a survivor in every sense of the word - she may have fallen a time or two, but she came up swingin' every time! At 81, she has survived a couple of heart attacks and has rehabilitated herself from countless strokes, large and small. She has re-learned how to speak and walk at least 4 times in the last 6 years, after multiple strokes and fractures of the hip and pelvis. I used to get irritated when people said, "You are just like your mother!" Now, I say, "You bet! And I am dang proud of it, too!"

Gave me everything I needed to take the world on by myself. Taught me to raise my own children without me knowing it. She had the best soul and still does because she lives through me now. Everyday I walk into another problem I can handle it because she gave me those teachings everyday she was here with me. She taught me how to bring out my creativity and show it to the world. I feel blessed to have had her as my mother. She has molded me into who I am today. Although I miss her everyday, I am so grateful for every thing she has done for me in her short life. I also have a grandmother (My mom's mom) who is still here to support me like my mother did. She is so amazing too. She gives the best advice and is always here for me when I need her. I love them both so very much. These flowers are Gorgeous. I would love to make my Grandma something very special with them. Thank you for the chance. HUGS
