Be Inspired! Our New Shipment of Cricut Magazines have arrived!

Have you seen the latest issue of Cricut magazine? I think my favorite project from the January issue is on page 74. It’s a card that says “When everything is said and done, being sick is not so fun”. It’s pink, gray, black, and white and has the cutest little seal on it from the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge. Maybe it has something to do with my infatuation with pink and gray right now. (That’s the color scheme for the nursery we decorating).  But I know I’ll be recreating that card next time I haul out my supplies.

Each month’s issue has about 130 pages in it, and is in full glossy color. There are pictures galore of projects, and each one will have detailed instructions as to what cartridges were used, as well as other supplies. There are limited advertisements, and a huge variety of ideas.
Check them out!

Winter CHA is coming!

Here are some sneak peeks for you!

The Winter 2012 CHA (Craft & Hobby Association) Show is right around the corner. It will be held in Anaheim, California from January 28th – January 31st. It’s a very exciting time of year, as several manufacturers will be releasing brand new products! Craft-e-Corner will be present at the show, and will be ordering lots of new goodies for you. However, we thought you might like to see some sneak peeks of items being released at the show.

Megan Elizabeth

You probably already know Megan Elizabeth from the Cricut instructional DVD’s she has made. Last year, she released Paper Layerz which is a line of cardstock made for die cutting machines and is super convenient with multiple colors on one sheet of paper.  This year you will see more new releases from her, including Alphabet stickers, Sparkle Lightz, and Nesting Dies. She is all about convenience, color coordination, functionality, and value.

Teresa Collins
Rumor has it that Teresa Collins, the designer behind the Stampmaker machine, has been very busy! She has some new collections launching at CHA and has also partnered with Xyron and has her own sticker maker machine. We can’t wait to see what other surprises might be at her booth this year!

There are so many companies that make beautiful paper… It is always so hard to decide what to carry. But this collection by Little Yellow Bicycle really caught my eye and I couldn’t resist featuring it. It’s called Paradise, and they couldn’t have thought of a better name. I also love the splash of hot pink mixed with more earthy tones. I think that’s very unique. Lastly, check out the phrase “Happy Girls Are the Prettiest”. I think that is so sweet, charming, and true. It made my heart melt for this layout.

Get Organized This New year!

Affordable and creative solutions for your craft room!

Have you noticed how just about every major retailer is running specials on storage bins, closet organizers, and other products to help you get organized? I didn’t make a resolution to get more organized, but I certainly have loved the ideas and inspiration all their weekly ads have given me. And why not carry that over into your craft room! Here are some great products that are stylish and functional, and will help you tidy up your craft space this year.

Cropper Hopper
Paper, stickers, and ribbon are probably a few items that every crafter has lying around, yet they can be some of the hardest to store. Cropper Hopper has a solution for each of these supplies! My favorite part is the damask pattern on the Paper Holder and Sticker Stadium. Damask is quite trendy right now, but is also traditional and timeless. I just love it! I’ve seen these damask patterns on purses, curtains, table runners, and I’m even using a damask pattern in the nursery we’re preparing for our new little girl. No one said storage solutions had to be boring, so try these out!

Cute Kid Contest! Inspire and Win!

Now that 2011 has come to an end, and I have a new baby that will be here before you know it, I figured I better make some time to complete my scrapbook for the year. (Ok… let’s be honest, I have to start it before I can finish it) I consider myself a crafty gal, but I always need something to inspire me in order to start creating. And there is nothing that inspires me more than my little girl Camryn. I love talking about her, bragging about her, and showing everyone pictures of her. I’m just so proud of her and want everyone to know it.

So let’s all show off! Take a moment and send us a picture of the cutest kid in the world, YOURS! (Child, grandchild, etc…) We’ll look at all the entries and pick the picture that inspires us the most, and the winner can pick from one of three fabulous prizes!
Here’s how it works:

1)  Email an inspiring, adorable photo of your cute kid to bobbijo@craft-e-corner.com starting at 12:00am CST January 17, 2012 through 8:30am CST January 23, 2012. No professional photos please. (Note: All photos become the property of Craft-e-Corner and can be used for business and/or promotional purposes at any time)

2)  All eligible photos will be uploaded to our Facebook page by January 24, 2012 so everyone can be inspired by your cuties.  https://www.facebook.com/#!/CrafteCorner

3)  On January 24, 2012 we will select one winner who will be notified by email. The winner will have 7 days to respond and redeem their prize. Each prize was chosen to help you show off your prize winning photo.
Prize 1 - American Girl Mosaic Frame Kit

Prize 2 - Globecraft Memories Rectangle Story Teller Kit
Prize 3 - Makin's Brand Memory Frame Kit

Good Luck!

BAZZILL BASICS SPLAT MAT is now in stock! Large Non-Stick Mat Keeps Your Work Surface Clean!

This weekend I had a little extra time, and it happened to be a friend’s birthday, so I decided to haul out all my crafting supplies and make a special card. And when I say haul… I mean haul. Unfortunately, we do not have extra space for a craft “room”.  Instead I have a craft “closet” and any time I want to do projects, everything gets dragged into the dining room, and the dinner table becomes my crafting space.

It’s not a fancy table by any means, but I still want it to look nice, so I usually find myself frantically using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser trying to get all the stains out before it’s too late.

Although this method has worked pretty well for me, it sure would be a lot easier if I just used the Bazzill Basics Splat Mat, which is 15" x 18". There are two sizes available and they are the answer to all my messiness. You can easily wipe away inks, paint, glitter and glue.  Plus it withstands heat up to 500 degrees, so it’s no match for hot glue, embossing tools and even wax!

Here is a link for the Splat Mat Sr, which measures 15" x 24"!

Be creative! At the recent CHA show, an employee even told me how his wife keeps one at the bottom of her oven for easy clean up! Now that’s a versatile product!

Thanks Splat Mat!

Here's a video, to check it out!
